General
I - Joist Structure
Nascor I-joists are inherently stronger than their dimensional lumber counterparts.
The highest stresses in a structural member in bending are at the top and bottom edges. The closer you get to the center, the smaller the stresses. The I configuration ensures that you have most wood where you need it: at the top and the bottom of the joist.
Less Material
I-joists can be spaced further apart than 2x10 or 2x12. That means less material and less time required to install
Using the Layout as a Selling Tool
All too often builders focus on the price per lineal foot only and predetermine that I-joists are too expensive. Using Naspro layout software you can draw the same floor layout twice: once with conventional 2x12s, the second time with Nascor joists. This allows you to provide the builder with an exact comparison that is visible and non-biased.
Mixing and Matching
Another huge benefit to selling a system is the fact that you can use two or more different styles of joist of the same depth in the same floor.
Quality Inspected
To satisfy all code requirements, a third-party assurance company, performs monthly inspections and random tests to ensure that all NASCOR products meets our stringent quality control requirements.
